Megan graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Cinema-Television: Production. Originally from Philadelphia, she has enjoyed living in different cities while now residing in Denver, Colorado with her husband, Brian. Megan studied at La Sorbonne in Paris for a semester and practiced speaking French. Mais, elle oublie la beaucoup de la langue. Back in Los Angeles she participated in the unavoidable adventures everyone experiences when living there. She loves impulsive roadtrips and meeting new people. Everyone has a story. Megan also enjoys surprising her friends and family and simply being in the outdoors. She loves food but not cooking. It's ok though.
In September of 2005, Megan and Brian, took a 6,000-mile roadtrip around the western part of the United States and up into Canada, which they filmed and called "Milk Run". It is currently being edited. It still isn't decided if the show was made as an excuse to go on a roadtrip. Regardless it was a great time and Brian still has issues crossing state borders. He feels the need to change clothes, break out and dance. Watch the music video to understand.
Currently living in the mile-high city, Megan and Brian take advantage of the outdoors. Megan wants to continue combining what she loves, shooting, editing, hiking, traveling, documenting, and music.
Experience:
Living in L.A. has given Megan a chance to work for some great companies. She worked as an editorial assistant at Bunim-Murray Productions on "The Simple Life" and Mark Burnett Productions on "The Apprentice withMartha Stewart". While attending the University of Southern California, she had her own radio show called "The Happy Show" interviewing various local musicians, including G.Love and Special Sauce. Megan was fortunate to have directed a 35mm color short, "The Dry Route", which was filmed in Palmdale, California. The film made it to several film festivals.
Discovering a deep interested in traveling and adventure, Megan and her friend spent some time in Hawaii one summer producing a travel show called "PDA: Public Display of Adventure" aired on WHYY/PBS. They starred in the show participating in wild activities such as skydiving, riding, catamarans, mopeds, and the list goes on. It was quite the adventure and just the beginning.
Since moving to Colorado, Megan and Brian opened their production company, Alpine Light Pictures, Inc. Megan freelances as a producer, shooter, and editor. She has worked for various companies and most recently is directing a travel show, "The DC", for The Network DC. In 2007, Megan won a regional Emmy for "186 Miles to Ride " produced for The Network DC.
Working on several other projects, Megan has freelanced for Serac Adventure Films in Boulder, shoots and edits for TurnHere, Inc. creating videos for Citysearch.com, Yellowpages.com, and iVillage.com.
